The Rack Mounted Cable Column was designed to be mounted to an Alpha Rack or ATR unit, if you want to add a cable column to a non Stray Dog rack checkout our Wall Mounted Cable Column that has a slotted 23″ crossmember. By mounting 2 cable columns off of a rack you can create a functional trainer that is also an extra lifting station.
The Rack Mounted Cable Column was designed with a 30" regular crossmember to connect to Stray Dog Strength uprights or can also be attached to a wall. If you want to connect it to another brand 3x3" tubing upright with 1" holes it will not work BUT the Wall Mounted Unit has a slotted 23" crossmember that allows them to be compatible with virtually any brand rack or wall.
Yes you can do lat pull downs on the cable column, just add the Dual Utility Roller and a pad to sit on, click here to watch a video on how to set it up.
