The Econ Bumpers are designed for consistent, reliable performance in high use training environments. Each plate is made from solid rubber with an inner steel ring and a durometer of 88 to 92, providing a firm feel and long term durability. Weight tolerance is held within one percent, and all plates feature a clean black finish with a permanent white Stray Dog logo.
Built to IWF standards, the plates have a 450mm diameter and a 50.4mm collar opening for proper barbell fit. Plate thickness varies by weight, with a slightly thicker profile than competition style bumpers. Custom logos are not offered on this line, allowing for a more cost effective option without sacrificing build quality.
Despite the added thickness, two full 375 lb sets can still be stored on a standard Stray Dog Strength weight peg configuration, with the 45 lb and 25 lb pairs sharing the bottom peg. These bumpers are approximately thirty three percent more affordable than our competition style bumpers.
