The Alpha Bench ladder is on the back of the pad instead of the frame, which leaves the frame open to bolt on a low-profile spotter plate. The Alpha Bench comes with pre-drilled spotter plate holes so you can add it after purchasing the bench if you decide to.

The Spotter plate is bolted onto the 3x3 tube of the frame, all the bench frames come with the spotter plate holes already laser cut out so you can add the Spotter Plate after purchasing.
The plate is 12" wide x 15" tall and is angled up on the tube which starts at 3" and rises to 9" at the top.
The spotter plate was designed to support a spotter for incline bench press movements and also is a great support for doing preacher curls on the bench or other movements.
