Safety Squat bars are a great tool in any weight room but especially for athletes, they take much of the stress off of the upper back/shoulders to hold the weight on your back for a front squat. The padding also provides a much more comfortable lifting experience great for less experience lifters who are not comfortable under heavy loads or cannot perform back squats due to a shoulder, wrist/hand or arm injury. SSB's are a great way to perform maximal load movements such as Hatfield squats as you can go hands free and the bar will balance itself.
