The Alpha Rack Series was created in 2020 after listening to many customers including, Coaches, Administrators and Athletes input that they wanted our unique attachments in the 1″ hole ecosystem which most of the market has adopted.
By brining our rack series to the 1″ hole ecosystem we are able to open up the possibility to use Stray Dog attachments on other 1″ hole racks and other brands attachments on our 1″ hole racks. Our Racks are “Battle Tested” meaning that they have been designed to withstand the high volume training volume of high school, collegiate and professional teams backed by our industry leading lifetime warranty on welds and frames.
modularity
It was our goal to create a rack “erector set” by offering all of our rack parts for purchase individually it gives customers the option to build their own rack custom to their needs which can be added to or changed overtime as training needs change.
We sell our crossmembers in 4 different lengths so customers can choose the right depth for the rack of their choice at either 20″, 30″, 43″ or 72″. Our Crossmembers have 1″ holes all over them so you can easily attach a connector or attachment to them.
Storage
Alpha Racks have many options for storage for everything from, plates, bars, dumbbells, kettlebells, bumper plates, ropes, change plates, clips, posterior chain trolleys, chalk, belts, chains and more.
Attachments
As the Alpha Rack has 1″ holes the attachment possibilities are endless as you cannot only purchase attachments from Stray Dog but from any company that makes 1″ attachments which most do. With attachments you can train many movements in the rack station that would not be possible with a standard barbell.
We are always working to create more attachments for racks to allow our customers to get more out of their rack footprint.
Rack machine attachments
Our Alpha racks are the only rack system on the market that has the ablity to add machine attachments between the front and the back rack posts fitting a machine inside the rack without adding to the footprint of the rack.
Our 3 different machine options are Lat Pull down/Low Row, Belt Squat/Lat Pull down and Adjustable Cable Columns which as the trolley goes directly on the front post you can still use the post to lift off of or for other attachments when it is stored up out of the way. You can fit two machine attachments either the same or mix and matched machine attachments inside an Alpha rack but there is also the option to put a machine attachment off the back of the unit which makes for better super sets if you have the extra square footage.
You can put a Cable Column attachment inside two Alpha racks and put them close to each other to create a functional trainer without adding to the floor print.
Alpha Rack package options
Pictured above from left to right is the different Alpha Packages, Frame, ST, STR and MG Package. Each rack comes standard with the ability to choose the upright, crossmember and accent color giving customers the ability to have three different colors on their rack for no upcharge if choosing from our 11 powder coat options.
The Frame package comes with 2 numbered uprights, 2 ticked uprights, 4 crossmembers, 1 Logo beam connector with Stray Dog cut out and 1 straight pull up bar.
The ST package comes with 2 numbered uprights, 2 ticked uprights, 4 crossmembers, 1 Logo beam connector with Stray Dog cut out, 1 straight pull up bar, Basic Bar cups, 1 Change plate storage and 4 weight pegs.
The STR package comes with 2 numbered uprights, 2 ticked uprights, 4 crossmembers, 1 Logo beam connector with Stray Dog cut out, 1 straight pull up bar, 1 pair of UMHW Bar Cups, 1 Pair of Spotter Arms,2 Change plate storages and 4 weight pegs.
The MG Package comes with 2 numbered uprights, 2 ticked uprights, 4 crossmembers, 1 Logo beam connector with Stray Dog cut out, 1 Multi-Grip pull up bar, 1 pair of UMHW Bar Cups, 1 Pair of Spotter Arms,2 Change plate storages and 4 weight pegs.
